Do's and Don'ts:

Do:

• Reserve cart via Links 4 Learning
  • (This helps keep track of what class is using the nooks and when. It serves as an electronic record.)
• Keep cart secure
  • The key is checked out via the library.
• Assign each student a particular Nook number, #1 through #32
  • (Keep this list of student names and which nook they used so if there is an inappropriate search or misuse, we know who to hold responsible.)
• Integrate this incredible learning tool with your students. 
• Have students return nook to the cart, plugged in and ready for the next user.
  • It is plugged in when the light on the cord lights up,
  • Yellow= not charged; Green= fully charged

Don't:

• Don't allow students to take them home.  Let's keep our cart ready for in-school applications.  This may be revisited in the future.
• Avoid draining the battery completely, as this causes the device to need to be charged 15 min. to turn back on.
